Your brew guide for the perfect mocha

Mocha is a traditional brewing method that delivers an intense and aromatic coffee. With the right equipment and a few tips and tricks, you can make a delicious mocha at home. Just follow these instructions:

Everything you need

Preparation

1. Grinding

  • Grind your coffee into a fine powder, similar to espresso grinding. A fine grind is important for mocha.

2. Dosage

  • Measure the water according to the number of cups you want to make. Use a ratio of 1 teaspoon of coffee per 50ml of water .

Fresh, clean water

  • Use fresh, cold water. Always use fresh, cold water to make the mocha. The water should be clean and free of contaminants to ensure the best taste.
preparation

1. Mix and stir

Add water, coffee and optional sugar to the moka pot and dissolve well

2. Heating

Place the pot on the stove and use a low to medium heat. Let the coffee heat slowly and watch it closely. As soon as you see the characteristic frothing and rising of the coffee, reduce the heat to a minimum.

3. let it simmer

Let the mocha simmer gently until a thick layer of foam forms.

4. let it rest

Remove the moka pot from the stove and let the moka rest for a few seconds so that the coffee grounds can settle to the bottom.

5. Infuse

Pour the mocha into cups carefully so as not to add the coffee grounds. Enjoy the strong taste and unique aroma of mocha.
